HEALTH AND SAFETY
The prevention of harm towards any person as a result of Alaska's operations is of utmost importance to our team.
As a result of this, Alaska's management are continuously developing and maintaining our Health and Safety systems to ensure that we comply with relevant legislation and applicable codes of practice and standards.
Our systems have been developed to ensure all parties who have responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety are informed of their obligations. Alaska also encourages employee consultation and participation.
Our vision is that New Zealanders work and live in healthy, efficient, productive and environmentally sustainable buildings both today and into the future, which is why Alaska have adopted the Greenstar Code of Building practises.
We attempt to be mindful of the environmental products and processes used in building and strive to go the extra mile by adding an environmentally friendly quality to the building being created.
As an enthusiastic advocate of the Green building council, Alaska has undertaken a number of large Greenstar projects in our short history, which has resulted in a number of our staff becoming fully conversant in the requirements of Greenstar building practises.
